ATI Psychology Institute's four six month Diploma in Psychology courses offer a Comprehensive Foundation Programme designed to inform, stimulate and challenge you. The courses are open to everyone, irrespective of previous educational or professional qualifications. Each course can be completed in just six months with materials sent on a monthly basis. But if you require more time to complete, arrangements to extend the time needed to complete the course can be easily made. These courses are at foundation level and are not professional qualifications.

Courses are designed to be flexible in that participants may choose to return the assignments monthly; or halfway through the course; or all assignments together at the end of the course.

Course Structure

The following is the Course Structure for all of our Home Study courses:

  • Each course is divided into six units – each with a different theme.

  • A unit will be sent to you by post, monthly – from the date you join the course unless requested otherwise.

  • Each unit comprises reading material, together with two written assignments.

  • If possible, all assignments to be typed and have a minimum of two hundred and fifty words.

  • The assignments are straight forward & relate directly to the reading material. They will include short factual answers, personal responses/reactions to the reading material, self-development exercises, etc.

  • Your tutor will be available by phone, letter or e-mail to assist you if you have any difficulties – either with the course content or the assignments.

  • The course is designed to be flexible in that participants may choose to return the assignments monthly; or halfway through the course; or all assignments together at the end of the course. Specific date will be supplied as you progress through the course.

  • The assignments will be graded by your tutor and returned.
  • On average the course will require three-four hours reading/study per week.
  • If at any time, for any reason, you require more time to complete assignments - then just contact us and we will be happy to facilitate any change you may require.
