This unit moves from the broad question of what actually happens in the body under threat, to the specific systems and responses that explain it — the fight, flight, freeze, and fawn responses, and how the nervous system decides which one to reach for. These responses, once genuinely understood, reframe behaviour that can otherwise look confusing or excessive. Read them in order if you can — each one builds a little on the last.

This second set goes further still, moving into more nuanced territory — how the nervous system's response to threat differs from person to person, and why that difference matters directly for how you work with someone in the room. As with the rest of this unit, read them in order, since each one builds on what came before.
